Iran is an Islamic Republic and there are many places in daily life where the Islamic rules are valid. In addition, there are some restrictions in the night life as well. As known, alcohol consumption is forbidden although hidden consumption exists.
If you are looking for a lively night life in Iran, you will be disappointed. Iran night life is not like the Arabic. This is not a sign of the Iranians living a life of asociacy. On the contrary, instead of sitting at home at night, the Iranians enjoy the beautiful weather and flock to the parks, gardens and tea houses. All family members spend their time making conversation while having dinner.
Young people smoke water pipe and enjoy the night. Especially historical and touristic places are incredibly crowded and I would recommend you to take advantage of this situation and chat with the local people.
